An 18-year-old who was killed in a double shooting while trying to break up a fight at his job will be laid to rest this weekend.
A candlelight vigil will be held Friday night to honor Matthew Jackson, who was shot almost two weeks ago at a Burger King on the Westside after he intervened when one of his co-workers and another man were fighting.
His co-worker was also shot but survived.
Jackson’s viewing will also be held Friday night.
Since Jackson was killed, family and friends have told News4JAX plenty of things about him.

He loved to cook, and he also loved caring for and protecting people if he could. He was also a twin.
