A man has received backing online after asking his wife not to wear visible pimple patches to a family wedding.
In a post shared to Reddit’s “Am I the A******?” forum, user u/ MarriedToATeacher said he and his wife have long approached her acne with openness and support. But a pending wedding has become an unexpected flashpoint.
The 41-year-old man starts the post by stating he loves his 43-year-old wife, he wrote: "I think my wife is a gorgeous woman with gorgeous skin.”
He explained how his wife has dealt cystic acne—characterized by painful, deep, pus-filled cysts or lumps beneath the skin—since her teens and now often uses visible, star-shaped hydrocolloid patches to treat breakouts.
According to the husband, the patches are not just skincare for his wife; they help her students
