Art and Charlie is housed in a heritage Portuguese bungalow and situated in a village that dates back to the 15th century before Mumbai was the city it is today. It is committed to exploring what lies beyond the white cube. Supporting contemporary artists from India and the Indian diaspora, it exists to dismantle the silences enforced by caste, patriarchy, colonialism, and the violence of forgetting. The gallery stands with artists who reclaim stolen histories, confront systemic oppression, and insist on visibility for the marginalised. Its exhibition programming is rooted in resistance.
