A six-year-old boy’s fall from a balcony has been ruled “accidental,” Woodstock police say.

It was on Nov. 28, last Friday, when Woodstock police say officers were called to a home in the Oxford County city east of London after a boy fell from what they describe as a balcony window.

The boy was at first taken to hospital in Woodstock, then transferred to Children’s Hospital in London for “specialized care,” police said.

In the statement issued Thursday night, police said the boy was in stable condition, though he continues to be treated for “serious injuries.”

Woodstock police said they’ve investigated the matter along with the Children’s Aid Society. “There are no signs of foul play and the incident has been determined to be an accident.”
