PORT ARTHUR, Texas — Two people were found shot Thursday night in Port Arthur after officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 3400 block of 9th Street, according to Police Chief Tim Durraso. The shooting happened around 10 p.m., and both victims were taken to Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.
Neighbors told 12News they heard “a disturbance followed by multiple gunshots” just moments before officers arrived. Police have not released details about what led to the shooting or whether any suspects have been identified.
The investigation remains ongoing.
