LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

LMPD gave an update and showed body-worn camera footage from a shooting involving officers that ended with an armed suspect dying.

The shooting happened on Nov. 22 around 10 p.m. in the 100 block of East Southland Boulevard.

According to police, it all started with an armed robbery attempt of a food deliverer.

A woman delivering for DoorDash told police a man came up to her and tried to take an $80+ delivery by showing her a gun.

She then called 911.

Video shows police find the suspect. He has been identified as William Jenkins, 18.

Police said Jenkins pulled a gun from his waistband and quickly fired a shot, and two officers fired several shots back.

Police provided a picture of Jenkins' gun and the spent round.

Jenkins ultimately died.
