John Cena has addressed why his final WWE match is not being held in his hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, despite widespread fan expectation that his career would conclude at TD Garden. Speaking in a recent interview with Bill Simmons , the 17-time World Champion clarified that the logistics of his farewell tour were largely determined by factors outside of his influence.

“That’s way beyond my control. I don’t book the live event calendar… If it was up to me, every match would be in Tampa,” Cena said.
