WARRENTON, Mo. (First Alert 4) -The Warrenton Planning and Zoning Commission approved a proposed ordinance Thursday night to govern data center projects with some changes to the initial proposal.
The ordinance comes as a data center project could be coming to an area of the city called the Warrenton North Industrial Park on the western edge of Warrenton off Interstate 70. No formal plan has been announced for the project.
It’s been part of discussions for months, and residents near a potential site have voiced concerns about a project that could affect their rural way of life.
