KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - A man is facing three felony charges after he reportedly stole a bus and hit a police officer with a metal pole.

Around 6:20 a.m. on March 2, 2025, officers with the Kansas City Police Department were dispatched to an intersection on Prospect Avenue on reports of a stolen Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) bus.

When officers arrived, they saw the suspect, Shahid Pratt, sitting in the driver’s seat. No other passengers were on board, and the bus had been forced to a stop after its emergency brakes were activated.
