Alex Bregman reportedly has a serious suitor in Chicago this offseason.
With the expectation that Kyle Tucker is going to sign elsewhere, the Cubs will have their eye on Bregman, according to The Athletic.
The Cubs made Bregman a four-year, $115 million offer last offseason, per Patrick Mooney and Sahadev Sharma . Though Chicago was trying to keep its payroll under control, Bregman was deemed a " special exception " to the budget.
Now, they’re readying to make another run at the All-Star third baseman.
