The A469 Whitchurch Road is blocked in both directions due to a police incident. The incident happened at about 3pm and affects the route from Longspears Avenue to A470 North Road (Gabalfa Interchange).

A spokesman for South Wales Police said the road is expected to remain closed for some time. They said: "We are dealing with an incident at the Galbalfa roundabout.

"The road is closed between Gabalfa roundabout and Whitchurch Road, to the junction of Maitland Street.

"It is expected to remain closed for some time; please avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. We're grateful for your patience."
