LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police have identified the man who was fatally shot by his brother Thursday at a gas station near downtown Lincoln.
The shooting happened around 11 a.m. at Casey’s near 13th and E streets.
Capt. Ben Miller said 23-year-old Emanuel Greenwalt-Claypool, a delivery driver, was dropping off products as his brother, 24-year-old Jarell Wheeler, was leaving the store.
Wheeler went back inside, left and then came back again and started “running toward Claypool” with his arm raised, police said.
At the same time, Claypool pulled out a gun from the front of his waistband and shot Wheeler “multiple times,” according to Miller.
When officers arrived, they found Wheeler suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
