A family and community have been left heartbroken after a mother and daughter died just four days apart. Annmarie McCann and her daughter, Bridin, passed away peacefully in hospital in the past week.

Bridin passed away on November 30 and her mum Annmarie died just days later on December 4, BelfastLive reports . The pair will have a joint funeral next Monday (December 8).

A tribute post from Mallon Funeral Directors in Belfast, Northern Ireland, said: "McCann (nee Mervyn) Annmarie, died peacefully at hospital 4th December 2025. Surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife to Patsy.

"Adored mummy to Francine, Patrick, Carleen and the late Bridin. Loving Granny to Stephen, Ben, Caoimhe, Molly, Phelim and Conall. Great Granny, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and friend to many. R.I.P. A
