Eight members of a drugs gang responsible for flooding the north west with cocaine and ketamine to make a profit of at least £26m have been sentenced.
The gang was led by Warrington-based Jack Donegan who used a network of couriers and associates to sell drugs across the region and even as far as London and Great Yarmouth. The scale of the conspiracy was 'vast', according to police. A drug ledger recovered from Donegan’s phone revealed the supply of more than 800 kilograms of Class A drugs and profits exceeding £26m.
The gang's 'minder' Philip Moores stored the drugs and the 'money man' Joel-Craven was found with £5,000 cash in his car and a further £300,000 plus a cash counting machine at his home when police conducted a swoop on the gang. In one message uncovered by the
