Whether it's handing out hot meals during winter, providing debt advice or drug and alcohol support, the work of Horden Community Connectors Group cannot be understated or overlooked.
The group jumped up and cheered when they were announced as the winners of the Community/Voluntary Group award.
The group itself is made up of representatives of the Horden Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) to enhance collaboration by sharing resources across a wide range of issues and experiences that support and develop a shared understanding of local priorities and needs.
Sharing knowledge, they work together to identify gaps to improve coordination of activity and engagement to create sustainable local change and achieve shared aims and outcomes.
