A Christmas fundraising event for the Maya’s Law campaign drew strong community support on Wednesday (December 3) at Consett AFC.
Families turned out for a packed programme of festive activities and child-friendly entertainment, as the event acted as an opportunity to fundraise for the vital campaign from a County Durham family, who are looking to change UK law.
Maya, from Shotton Colliery, died in September 2022 after being violently shaken by her mother’s abusive partner, Michael Daymond.
