Following a 2-10 season, Bill O’Brien is making changes to his coaching staff at Boston College.
The coach fired defensive coordinator Tim Lewis on Friday, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports, and is parting ways with “a few members” of the staff. Lewis had been with the Eagles since 2024. Boston College’s defense was one of the worst in the country this year, allowing 433.8 yards per game and 32.8 points.
Despite the disappointing season, Athletic Director Blake James said that he believed “O’Brien is the right man to be our head coach” in a season-ending letter to the Boston College fanbase. James said the program would be making “significant investments” in the football team moving forward.
