New Delhi: Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has announced the appointment of Ms. Shalini Pandit , IAS, as the new Government Nominee Director on its Board. The corporation informed the BSE and NSE on December 5, 2025, that the Central Government, through a notification dated December 3, 2025, has nominated Ms. Pandit in place of Dr. Parshant Kumar Goyal. The change has been made under Section 4(2)(d) of the Life Insurance Corporation Act, 1956.

Ms. Pandit, an IAS officer from the Odisha cadre, currently serves as Joint Secretary in the Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance.
