New Delhi: In continuation of its efforts to combat pollution in Delhi and the nearby areas, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is conducting special anti-pollution drives at its construction sites and surrounding areas across the national capital. As part of these drives, a number of specific activities are being taken up to ensure a decrease in dust levels inside construction sites, removal of road dust from the surrounding roads, removal of garbage from footpaths and road medians etc.
As part of this activity, a drive was conducted between Azadpur and Ashok Vihar, where a number of activities such as a cleanliness drive, restoration of damaged footpaths, restoration and beautification of road medians, repair of nearby roads was taken up by DMRC.
