SUNBURY — A 45-year-old Sunbury man will spend up to 42 years in state prison after a Northumberland County jury found him guilty of voluntary manslaughter earlier this year.

Randy Easton was sentenced to 16 to 42 years in state prison after appearing before Judge Mike Toomey Friday. A jury in a September trial found Easton guilty of felony voluntary manslaughter stemming from a 2022 shooting that left Sunbury resident, Joey Rice, 33, dead on a South Third Street sidewalk.
