Drivers have been warned over a concerning increase in the number of drivers who admit to regular handheld mobile phone use to make or receive calls. The RAC has found some admitted to doing it "sometimes" with others saying they do it "all the time."

This issue is said to be "particularly notable and rising" for people under the age of 25, with almost half (49%) admitting to using a handheld phone for calls while driving.

Some have even chatted through video call, with 3 in 10 admitting to it. And to add to this, "19% of this group have taken a photo or recorded a video while at the wheel."
