INDIANAPOLIS (WNDU) - The Indiana House has passed a bill to redraw Indiana’s congressional districts .

According to our sister station WTHR , the bill passed 57-41 in a vote on Friday. Eleven Republicans joined the 30 Democrats in the chamber who voted against the bill, while two representatives were excused from the voting.

The bill now heads to the Indiana Senate, where it has faced more opposition. President Pro Tem Rod Bray (R-Martinsville) has repeatedly said there are not enough votes to pass redistricting.

The Senate is set to convene on Monday, December 8 , to make a final decision on the redistricting proposal.
