MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - Fire Chief Bryon Woodward will retire from the Mishawaka Fire Department after leading it for 10 years.

Woodward’s last day in office will be February 13, 2026, the city announced.

“Throughout his tenure, he has played an instrumental role in advancing our mission, supporting our firefighters, and ensuring the continued growth and readiness of the department,” the city said in a news release. “His leadership has helped shape the strong foundation we stand on today.”

The city said it is beginning the transition process to replace Woodward.
