BLUFFTON, S.C. (WTOC) - On Thursday, December 4, 2025, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office arrested Albert Alexis Fajardo-Aguilar, 37, for the charges of Fugitive from Justice, according to a press release WTOC just received.

The release states the Sheriff’s Office was provided with information that Aguilar was wanted in Costa Rica for Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor (13 or under).

During an investigation, officials say it was confirmed that Aguilar was living in the Bluffton area. He was observed driving away from his residence, when a traffic stop was conducted on his vehicle.

Aguilar was found to be Driving without a license and was arrested and transported to the Beaufort County Detention Center.

An Interpol Red Notice was confirmed by ICE and Homeland Security Investigation,
