As Alex Golesh continues to put his staff together, one big name is expected to stay on staff.
Golesh is expected to retain defensive line coach Vontrell King-Williams, according to reports from 247Sports and On3.
King-Williams has spent the last two season as Auburn’s defensive line coach, leading what has arguably been the team’s strongest position group. In 2025, the Tigers finished the season ranked 12th nationally in rushing yards per game.
He has also coached star defensive end Keldric Faulk, who’s projected to be a first round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
King-Williams’ ability as a recruiter has stood out during his time on the Plains as well. This cycle, he helped Auburn sign defensive linemen such as Tavian Branch and Corey Wells, flipping Wells from Texas on National Signing
