Syracuse, N.Y. ― Syracuse freshman Aaron Womack has decided to redshirt the 2025-26 season, according to a university release.
Womack, a 6-foot-6 guard from Milwaukee, Wis., has not played in any of Syracuse’s first eight games of the season.
Womack averaged 28.8 points, 11.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game as a senior last year at Dominican High School in Milwaukee. He was ranked as a 3-star recruit by 247Sports.com.
Considered a high-level outside shooter, a year of development could be a big benefit to Womack. He weighs just 170 pounds and needs to add both pounds and strength to his frame.
By taking a redshirt, Womack preserves a season of eligibility. He will have four years left to play starting with next season.
A redshirt year can be declared at any point during the season,
