The historic steam locomotive Pere Marquette 1225, which was pulled from service two weeks ago, has been repaired and will lead the North Pole Express this weekend, the Steam Railroading Institute announced.
"Full Steam Ahead!" the nonprofit train preservation group said on Facebook on Dec. 4. "We are excited to share that Pere Marquette 1225 is back in service! After a dedicated effort from our team, the iconic steam locomotive will once again be leading our North Pole Express excursions."
