BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Frank Gehry, a world-famous architect who designed the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art in Biloxi, passed away at 96, according to the Associated Press.
Gehry died Friday in his home in Santa Monica after a brief respiratory illness, said Meaghan Lloyd, chief of staff at Gehry Partners LLP.

Gehry grew up in Canada, persecuted because of his Jewish heritage. Years later, he would go on to become one of the greatest architects in the world.
Gehry designed several buildings to great acclaim, including The Guggenheim Bilbao in Spain, Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and The Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris.
