A popular Crayola kit sold online at Amazon and at Michael's stores nationwide has been recalled by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission after officials said it carries a "serious risk of injury or death."

Approximately 9,400 sets of Crayola magnetic building "pip-Cubes " were recalled Dec. 4, the commission said, because of a magnet ingestion hazard. According to the recall, the magnets inside the building cubes could become loose. If swallowed by young children, they can become dangerous, the recall said.

"When high-powered magnets are swallowed, the ingested magnets can attract to each other, or other metal objects, and become lodged in the digestive system," the recall said. "This can result in perforations
