DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - A historic Duluth arts facility just received a multi-million-dollar donation for renovations.
Restoration began on the Duluth armory back in the summer of 2024.
Construction has been ongoing for the $48-million-dollar project.
In early December, Duluth Armory leaders announced a $5 million donation for the transformation.
They said there is still a $3 million gap for the first phase of construction.
Armory leaders said they’re hoping state funding, grants, and donations will cover the rest.
Once the renovations are complete, The Armory will have performance spaces, office spaces, and amenities like retail and food vendors.
The Duluth Armory is giving the community a chance to look at the construction up close.
