DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - An agreement has been reached to keep Aspirus St. Luke’s facilities in-network for patients who have health insurance through Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Aspirus St. Luke’s announced the agreement in a press release Friday.
The existing contract was set to expire at midnight on December 31, 2025.
This new contract will last through 2027.
Without this agreement, all Aspirus St. Luke’s facilities would have been out of coverage for Blue Cross members.
Throughout the negotiation process, Aspirus St. Luke’s leaders had said its company was significantly underpaid compared to other health systems in the Duluth market.
