The No. 2 Indiana Hoosiers (12-0, 9-0 Big Ten) and No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes (12-0, 9-0) meet Saturday in the Big Ten Conference Championship Game. Kickoff from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (FOX). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's NCAA football odds around the Indiana vs. Ohio State odds and make our expert college football picks and predictions for the best bets.
Ohio State has dominated the all-time series 80-12-5, with 1 vacated win in 2010. The Buckeyes won 38-15 in a ranked battle last season on Nov. 23, 2024, in Columbus, covering as 10.5-point favorites as the Over (52.5) cashed. Ohio State has 29 consecutive wins in the series since a 27-27 tie in Bloomington on Oct. 13, 1990. The last time Indiana won in his series was a 41-7 victory on Oct. 8, 1988, at The Rock.
The Hoosiers closed out their season by paddling their rival Purdue Boilermakers 56-3 at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette to keep the Old Oaken Bucket. It easily covered as 28-point favorites while taking care of the Over (53.5) itself. Heisman candidate QB Fernando Mendoza completed just 8-of-15 passes for 117 yards and 2 TDs, while running for a score. RB Roman Hemby rushed for 152 yards and a TD against the Boilermakers, while top WR Elijah Sarratt had 41 yards and a TD.
Indiana has scored 30 or more points in 6 of the past 7 games, and 55+ in 3 of the past 5 outings. The Over is 4-1-1 in the past 6 games.
The Buckeyes exorcised some demons with a 27-9 win over rival Michigan 27-9 in Ann Arbor with a light snowfall. Ohio State covered as 9-point favorites as the Under (43) cashed. Buckeyes QB Julian Sayin threw for 233 yards, 3 TDs and 1 INT, while RB Bo Jackson rumbled for 117 yards, WR Carnell Tate had 5 receptions for 82 yards and a TD. WR Jeremiah Smith ended up with 3 catches, 40 yards and a score, too, while WR Brandon Inniss also hauled in a TD.
Ohio State has covered three in a row, and it finished the season 10-1-1 ATS. The Under was 3-1 in the final 4 games, and 5-2 in the final 7 outings.
Since the inception of the Big Ten Championship Game, Ohio State has appeared 6 times, going 5-1 in those games, including 4 straight titles from 2017-20. The last victory came in 2020 in front of a limited crowd due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as Ohio State topped the Northwestern Wildcats 22-10. Ohio State's seventh appearance this season sets a new record. The Wisconsin Badgers is next best with 6 all-time showings. This is Indiana's first-ever appearance in the title game.

Indiana vs. Ohio State picks and predictions
Prediction
Ohio State 30, Indiana 24
Moneyline
Ohio State (-200) is the defending champ, and to be the champ, you must beat the champ. It sounds cliche, but it's true.
Indiana has not won against Ohio State since 1988, and while the Hoosiers have been powerful, and they're having a historic season, it's hard to ignore history. Coach Curt Cignetti has built Indiana, against all odds, into a national powerhouse. For that, the Big Ten is very thankful. He has breathed life into program which has long since been moribund. But, you cannot ignore history, and Indiana cannot be trusted going forward until it springs the upset, the routinely wins these big games. Until then, keep trusting the tried-and-true Buckeyes.
PASS.
Against the spread
OHIO STATE -4 (-110) is the play here. Indiana has the offense to challenge the powerful Ohio State defense. However, the jury is still out on the Hoosiers, though. Yes, they did beat the Oregon Ducks on the road on Oct. 11 in impressive fashion (30-20), but in the 6 games since, they were double-digit favorites, and supposed to win.
We still don't know a lot about the Hoosiers, or how they'll fare on the big stage. With Ohio State, we know what we're getting. It is the defending national champ, and used to handling the bright lights and national spotlight.
Over/Under
OVER 47.5 (-115) is worth a look, as we have 2 high-octane offenses clashing in Indianapolis.
Ohio State has a championship-caliber defense, but Mendoza, Hemby and Sarratt should be able to put points on the board. And, we know the Buckeyes can get the job done offensively.
