Five-star defensive lineman Lamar Brown has signed his letter of intent with LSU , the school revealed Friday.

The University Lab recruit is the No. 2 player in the nation and the top prospect in Louisiana’s 2026 class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He has been committed to the Tigers since July, but his agent told On3 Sports on Tuesday that he and five-star defensive lineman Richard Anderson would potentially hold off on signing with LSU during the early signing period.

Anderson, however, reversed course. He announced his intention to sign with LSU on Wednesday and was officially unveiled as a signee on Thursday. Brown will follow suit on Friday, less than a week after meeting with new coach Lane Kiffin on the same night Kiffin arrived in Baton Rouge from Oxford.
