SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A man is dead after being hit by a car in Shreveport Wednesday afternoon (Dec. 3).
The Shreveport Police Department says this happened around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon in the 2900 block of Knight Street. That’s in Shreve City behind the plasma donation center.
Officers were called out to respond to a major crash; when they got there, they found an older Black man lying unconscious in the road. They were able to determine he’d been hit by a blue 2007 Toyota Highlander.
The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police say their initial info shows the driver who hit the man was heading north on Knight Street when the man walked into the road in front of the car. The driver wasn’t able to stop in time and hit the man.
