ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The Georgia Bulldogs are returning to the SEC Championship on Saturday to face rival Alabama for a spot in the College Football Playoff.

As expected, Atlanta is kicking into high gear for the game, hosting several pre-game events before the game kicks off at 4 p.m.

What’s at stake for Georgia and Alabama?

Saturday marks the fifth time Georgia and Alabama will have faced each other in the SEC championship game. With a win, the Bulldogs would lock up a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff, and Alabama would need some help in gaining entry to the playoff.

A win for Alabama would propel it to a favorable position in the final CFP rankings on Sunday.
