The Philadelphia Phillies may not have had the success they've had in the last four seasons without Kyle Schwarber, and now he is a free agent.

Schwarber is one of the best free agents available this winter and could be a hot name at this year's winter meetings. He had a phenomenal season, finishing second in the National League MVP race. Many teams are expected to pursue the veteran, but MLB insider Jim Bowden wants to see him sign with the Cincinnati Reds on a five-year, $160 million deal.

Schwarber is an Ohio native and grew up going to Reds games. During the season, he spoke on how he would love to play for the Reds while addressing the uncertainty of free agency. During the offseason, he once again expressed interest in playing for his hometown team .
