by Chuck Seaver, South Lake Tablet The Clermont Police Department hosted the first scheduled “Stuff A Cruiser” event on December 3rd at Walmart, 1450 Johns Lake Road. The annual event is a collaborative effort with the CPD and the community to collect new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages in Clermont. The toys are dispersed to families that the officers are familiar with in areas of need.

The toy drive also provides an opportunity for the police officers to interact in a positive manner with the community members of all ages. Shoppers and children, along with their parents, stopped by the donation booth to not only drop off a toy but also enjoy a few holiday sweet treats and take advantage of a photo opportunity with the officers and the patrol car that was set up in true hol
