TRAVERSE CITY — Nineteen area football players were named first-team all-state Friday by the Michigan High School Football Coaches Association.

Traverse City West and Traverse City Central each had one player on the Division 2 squad, with Titan senior linebacker Drew Esper and Trojan senior defensive back Rutger Feeney earning the honors.
