Michigan State made another late addition to its recruiting class during the early signing period.

Jeremiah Favorite, a 2026 three-star defensive back from South Carolina, sent in his official paperwork on Friday to join the Spartans. He became the second addition of the day, following four-star offensive tackle Collin Campbell .

Michigan State is now up to 20 signees, including two walk-ons, in coach Pat Fitzgerald’s first class in East Lansing. He was hired on Monday to replace Jonathan Smith, who was fired on Sunday after two seasons.

Favorite, 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds, is from Boiling Springs, S.C., and listed as the No. 111 cornerback in the class, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. He committed to the Spartans in June and is one of six defensive backs in the class.
