Watterson played Toledo Central Catholic in the Division III state final for the third season in a row and for the second time in a row, the Eagles won.

Toledo Central Catholic was hoping to add to its five state championships (2005, 2012, 2014, 2022, 2023) but wound up with its third runner-up trophy (2015, 2024, 2025).

The Eagles hit the Fighting Irish (11-5) early and rolled the rest of the way, relying on a staunch defense to win their 30th straight game.
