MOSES LAKE, Wash — Students in the Moses Lake School District (MLSD) have officially missed a full week of school, and striking teachers seem to be poised to reject a contract offer that the district presented on Friday.
The Moses Lake Education Association (MLEA) president says the group is still working out how to respond to the offer, but claims the district is "misrepresenting their efforts at the bargaining table."
The Moses Lake School District is offering up what it calls a "significant concession" in contract negotiations. The district says Friday’s supposal responds to the education association’s top priorities, including:
Full restoration of the 2022-2025 contract
Distribution of state funding to directly pass through to certified instruction staff annually
