GREEN BAY — Jayden Reed would’ve loved to have been on his way to a meeting where head coach Matt LaFleur or general manager Brian Gutekunst were informing him that he’d be activated off injured reserve for Sunday’s matchup with the Chicago Bears.

Instead, the Green Bay Packers wide receiver was headed elsewhere as he departed the locker room on Friday afternoon.

“I’m going to get a haircut,” Reed said with a smile. “I get one, like, every Friday.”

That’s a lot of haircuts since Week 2, when Reed suffered a fractured right collarbone that required surgery and landed him on IR for the past 12 games. But it appears he’s on the cusp of being cut loose.
