They are, to be blunt, not meant for those of us who worry about the price of gas and groceries.
Duckling figurines crafted in silver and whimsical frogs cast in bronze by high-end brands decorate the mansions of the millionaires of the world. Each duckling and frog is small enough to fit in your hand and sells for hundreds or thousands of dollars when new.
Now, those gems and many, many more are up for auction online through Wiegmann Auctioneers of Decatur after Deanna Freeland’s death in February. Her husband, Dick Freeland, the successful local Pizza Hut franchisee, died in 2013.
