The M6 in Staffordshire is closed southbound after a collision involving an overturned car.

The closure is between Junction 16 (Crewe) and Junction 15 (Stoke-on-Trent), National Highways said.

Emergency services, including Staffordshire Police, are in attendance.

Traffic officers are at the scene and assisting with traffic management.

National Highways has advised southbound traffic to follow the hollow square diversion symbol:

Exit the M6 southbound at J16

Join the A500 southbound and continue around Stoke-on-Trent

Re-join the M6 at J15
