Mitchell Starc is on fire with the ball for Australia in the 2025-26 edition of the Ashes series against England. And on Saturday (December 6), during the third day’s play of the ongoing 2nd Test in Brisbane, he is making headlines with his batting as well. The left-handed batter was batting on 46 runs from 95 balls at the time of tea. During his 46-run knock in the first session of the third day’s play at The Gabba, Starc also completed 1000 runs in the World Test Championship.
Starc needed 43 runs in the ongoing match to reach the 1000-run mark in the WTC, and he achieved the objective during the 98th over of Australia’s innings.
