Ten Blue Raiders scored and the Middletown girls basketball jumped out to a 23-point lead through one quarter en route to a 62-17 defeat of East Pennsboro Friday night.

Jayla Koser and Destiney Gassert shared top scoring honors for Middletown (1-0) with 12 points, followed by Aja Rossum (8) and Rylee Cavrich (7).

Ali Alami scored nine for East Penn (0-2).
