The Roswell Water Department is testing fire hydrants at various locations around the city.

Initial tests will be on about 35 hydrants. Citizens near hydrants being tested may see water in the road while this process takes place, according to an announcement this week by the city.

During the testing, water service to nearby homes and businesses is not expected to be interrupted. But those properties may experience a temporary drop in water pressure. Further testing will focus on more specific areas. Additional notices will be issued when that testing is to take place and is slated to begin in the new year.
