Brayden Bartels and Zane Phillips combined for 30 points as Niagara held off Coleman for a 48-47 win in an M&O Conference boys hoops opener Thursday at home.
Bartels scored 12 of his 16 points in the first half as Niagara carried a 30-27 lead into halftime.
Noah Wheeler added seven points for the Badgers while Owen Dunkes and Wyatt Dunkes contributed four apiece. Christian Anderson rounded out Niagara’s scoring with three points, all in the second half.
Kolton Peters paced Coleman with 22 points.
The Badgers were 10 of 22 from the foul line while Coleman went 4 of 12.
Niagara travels to Gillett on Tuesday.
