ABBOTSFORD, BC

They’re the hottest Chilliwack cover band on the circuit and they’re heading straight for the main stage at the Fraser Valley Mennonite Brethren Festival of Music and Arts this weekend in the Clearbrook MB church basement.

“Everyone’s talking about the new Chilliwack cover band Abbotsford,” said event organizer and soup maker Anne Reimer. “I know there’s some folks who won’t like the idea of a rock band playing in a church basement, but I say, do we really know what goes on down there during youth nights anyway?”

Abbotsford is set to cover all the big Chilliwack hits including “Fly at Night,” “I Believe,” and, of course, “My Girl (Gone, Gone, Gone).”

“Yeah, and in this case, my girl’s been gone gone gone, she’s been gone so long to the MCC store,” explained Reimer.
