Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, speaking at the Red Sea Film Festival 2025, shared that her career has always been guided by conviction rather than insecurity.

Rai Bachchan, who made her acting debut with Mani Ratnam’s Iruvar after winning the Miss World crown in 1994, said she has consistently chosen her films with clarity.

“I don’t get insecure. That’s a real aspect of who I am,” she said. “Insecurity has never been a driving force — even though external voices can sometimes try to influence your decisions. That has never been me. Looking back, I realize I displayed that clarity from the very beginning.”
